Applications for Short Term Scientific Missions 2011/2012

The COST Action BM 1007 provides young and early stage researchers with individual support to conduct scientific und educational exchange between partner laboratories. For Short Term Scientific Missions (STSMs) young and early stage researcher may apply for either up to 2,500 EUR for a period up to 3 month or 3,500 EUR for a period up to 6 month.

For your application please proceed with the following steps

  1. Register your application on www.cost.eu/STSM
  2. At the last stage, download the application in pdf and add to your application
    • Contact details at your home institution
    • Contact details and letter of intend/approval of host institution
    • Short description of project title, research topic, and intention for the STSM in the partner lab (max. 1 page)
    • Your CV and list of publications
    • Duration and Grant of planned STSM:
      • min. 5 days  - up to 3 months, max. 2.500€ (calculate an average of 60-90€/day for subsistence and 300€ for travel)
      • over 3 months - up to 6 months, max. 3500€ (only ESR staying over 3 months can apply for 3500€. ESR = PhD + up to 8 years)

Ex: an ESR applies for an STSM with a duration of 5 weeks - the max. grant is 2500€.
